“Jingle
Girls Rock!”
Carolyn Spicer
Heritage
Centre
exhibition creator, stay at home mother, scrapbooker, artist
The imagery on this
banner depicts my daughters Rebecca, age 5, and
Ruby, age 3, in jingle dresses on a background of swirly colours and
sparkles.
This imagery reflects the history of the area by depicting the
aboriginal history and importance of the First Nations Peoples to the
Red Lake area.
I love the
jingle dance and would love for my girls
to be dancers some day. I’m proud of my own aboriginal ancestry and
wanted by banner to show that.
